Who We Are

The Friends of the Carnegie Library of Homestead is a non-profit, all volunteer organization. The Friends support the Library by fund-raising for classes and programs by providing volunteers for activities.
The mission of the Friends is to support the Carnegie Library of Homestead by raising funds for the library needs and providing volunteer services.
Meetings are held at 10:30 AM on the first Wednesday of the month in January, March, May, and November and in the evenings in July and September.

Upcoming Events

April 1st: The Comedy at the Carnegie, a night of fun and laughter is Saturday, April 1, 2023. The stand-up comedy event, featuring THREE Steel Valley alumni: nationally recognized comedian/actor Aaron Kleiber (Amazon, x5 Best Pgh Comedian), one of Pittsburgh’s best and brightest personalities Missy Moreno (The Second City, Pgh Theater), and Brian Linsenbigler (Pgh Improv); Featuring special guest BUBBA (100.7 Star Pgh. The BUBBA Show), Helen Wildy, (National Fests, Helium Records), Ed Bailey, (Very Local TV, Drinking Partner Podcasts) and Mike Travers (WDVE, KDKA, national Improv Comedy Clubs). The show starts at 7:30 pm, doors open at 6:00 pm. This is an event you won’t want to miss.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will be used to benefit the Carnegie Library to keep the community vibrant with history and a place to learn.
The evening’s program will be held at the Carnegie Library of Homestead Music Hall, 510 East 10th Avenue, Munhall, PA 15120 and will include:
• Stand-up Comedy Show (PG-17)
• Cash Bar
• Auntie Anne’s Pretzels
• Basket Raffle
• Basket of Cheer Raffle
• 50 / 50 Raffle
The cost to attend the event is $25 per person.
