Donor Advised Funds

Donor Advised Funds allow donors to make a charitable contribution, receive an immediate tax deduction, and then recommend grants from the fund over time.  Clients of Fidelity Charitable, Schwab Charitable, and BNY Mellon can easily make a designation through the DAF Direct window on this page. Neither the nonprofit organization or the donor will incur any download or transaction fees.

Grants made to the Carnegie Library of Homestead (also referred to as the “Carnegie of Homestead”) through your Donor Advised Fund can be designated for an area related to the donors’ interests (see examples 1-3 below) or for the organization to use for general support or an area of greatest need.

  • Library – Youth Literacy and Technology Afterschool Program
  • Athletic Club – Youth Memberships and Scholarships for Summer Sports Camps
  • Music Hall – Accessibility Renovations
  • General Organizational Support
  • Greatest Need
